We have rolled out the CITTAC Ground & Pound targets at the Texas class, behind stick-in Ivan’s. The students have been raving about them. Todd from CITTAC has offered a discount code for the CITTAC website. (You don’t have to use them behind Ivan!)
Coupon Code: MVT15
It only works on product that are NOT already on sale.
It makes the G&P kit $136.96 plus $19.00 shipping USPS Flat Rate.February 25, 2017 at 12:29 am #41657texasParticipant
Folks, I had a chance last week to be up close and personal with these targets. They seem to be well made and took a beating.
If you read Max’s recent blog post, I am the John that he speaks of and I did help move targets around.
The CITTAC folks have put together a nice set of targets, if you are looking for some “ground and pound” targets look no further.
From my personal observation they held up well. I have shot steel for some time and the quality was there, even in the edges. The targets that Max has come with a nice carry case and are very easy to move around if needed.

A buddy ordered one and had it sent to me. It’s nicely made. I’ll probably ditch the legs and bag and just mount it on a rack. They give you two holes near the top center to mount it that way also. One hole would have probably been better- usually it’s the bolt heads that break, causing the steel to hang or fall off racks.

oh fuck why Robert?
The whole point is that it sits on the ground and can be angled to 20 or 30 degrees, whcih lets it do what it is supposed to do. They do offer versions that do sit up on a stand, but that is not the point of the ground and pound.
Did your buddy order it for you or him?March 13, 2017 at 2:27 pm #42293RobertParticipant
Point was it is useful for both purposes.

I just received the replacements we agreed to. They always ship in flat rate packages to me.March 14, 2017 at 2:51 pm #42320

I had the same issue – Only option it gave me for shipping was UPS at $100+ for “ground and pound” targets. Sent them a mssg via their website last Saturday asking about USPS Flat Rate shipping, but haven’t had a response.

I emailed Todd. This is what I got back:
Max, Not sure what is going on. When I test the website it works for my at different locations around the country.
Can you please post a notice on your forum and have anyone with an issue send me a personal email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is the two emails I sent out to guys who reached out to me. I have a meeting with the website guys this afternoon.
Sorry I don’t know why you are getting that. I’ll have my website guys look at it.
When I check the website and try different parts of the country like Florida, or Pennsylvania, it gives me the USPS Flat rate option of $18.85. If you want to shoot me an email with your order and your shipping address I can send you a Paypal invoice for the products with the MVT discount code and the best shipping rate. Thank you for your patience.

It came down to the quantity. If I order them one at a time it was at 19 per target. Is an option. Or just email ’em. They seem to be right on the issue.March 14, 2017 at 10:16 pm #42333
They got it fixed. I just ordered 2 targets through their website and it worked fine for shipping USPS Flat Rate.

MVT15 discount code no longer works.July 7, 2019 at 5:41 pm #68579
These “ground and pound” targets are not on their website any more, and the MVT discount code does not work on their other targets.
Any input from Max, or anybody else?

I tried to purchase more of these for Texas this year. He told me at the time that he was unable to sell any steel due to something to do with a merger or something. About a month ago he emailed me saying he could sell again and offering me some of the stand-up steel I use for CQB (sometimes in the YouTube videos), that he had just cut. I told him I was more interested in the G&P but have not heard back. So I have no current idea what is happening with CITTAC. It would be a shame if they stop on the G&P, they are great for mobile classes.July 8, 2019 at 8:21 am #68582BrushpopperParticipant
The G&P are great, I only bought one unfortunately, but the last time I checked their website they didn’t have them on there. Hopefully they will soon!?!

These are back in stock and on the website. There is no code, but there is free shipping over $250.
