Lee has left the MVT Cadre. If you are not aware, Lee is a resident of New York State and was making the 6 hour drive down for training weekends. He has a full time job in Law Enforcement and also a busy training role in a prepper group he has up there. All this contributed to making the situation untenable.
Lee brought some excellent teaching ability to the cadre and is an all round good guy. He will be missed.
Lee had been delegated to teach the C3 classes, and we were running those on the same weekend as CTT classes. The immediate effect is that we can no longer run those C3 classes, and if you look, they have been taken out of the schedule. This puts us down to single class weekends, as we can’t be ambitious and run several classes a weekend with multiple cadre.
C3 has not gone away: it still makes an appearance on the MVT Rifleman Challenge. I have also updated the Private Group Class page to offer C3 as either a module to a private class, or as a standalone private class of two or three days. It just means myself and First Sergeant will run it when we are not running CTT and other classes. I’m not sure if or when I will offer it again as open enrollment.
We do have the UTM / FoF capability now (same as used for FoF Team tactics) and this capability can be offered as part of the C3 package, allowing it to be both a live and UTM class.
I have not yet done the schedule for the remainder of 2016. However, what you are likely to notice is a focus, for open enrollment classes, back onto the popular classes: CTT, Combat Patrol, 6 day etc, FoF Team Tactics etc. This is because these classes are known and popular, and as a business decision, I can fill them. I’m not waiting for students to wait for 500 student reviews for a new class before booking, or other reasons for hesitancy. Much as I would like to run lots of specialist classes, this is at base a business and demand drives supply. If it sells, it gets scheduled.
The more bespoke /advance classes will either be left to private bookings, or offered rarely as open enrollment, or both. Please be aware that I have a number of private bookings this year, and that I can run these either at the VTC or remote (taking the pop-ups with me, due to the new shields I have for them). If you can get a group together, at the private group rate you can actually train cheaper than the open enrollment rates. Go ahead, check it out.January 26, 2016 at 6:52 pm #24094EricParticipant
Sorry to hear that Max. Lee is a solid individual with a lot to bring to the table.

What this says to me is we have to round up enough guaranteed participants to book a private class.

Good luck brother Lee. Keep your PDF’s interlocked and your sectors of fire overlapping. Fire the FPF!

I was really looking forward to taking the CCC class in March as well. I am surprised that there might be any questions as to the demand for this class. I would think that it would easily get the number of people wanting to sign up as CTT does.January 27, 2016 at 11:36 am #24121Tater in SCParticipant
Only took 1 C3 class with Lee, but I really liked the guy. Sorry to see him leave.

Farewell Lee, please don’t be a stranger. Really enjoyed the C3 class and his style of teaching.

Always liked Lee’s posts. Best of luck on the new job. Be safe out there and watch your 6.January 29, 2016 at 12:47 pm #24214BrothersKeeperParticipant
Very sad to hear that. Lee is a solid guy and I really appreciated his teaching and perspective in class. I was also planning on C3 in May so that also is dissapointing. Are you going to bring on another instructor to replace him? I’m not sure what your vetting process is or how hard it is to find people who can train to the standard you are looking for. I’m sure it will be harder to do the training without Lee to take some of the load and I don’t want you to burn out yourself Max.
