Some of you may have noticed that the forum went down yesterday. It was due to WordPress updates, with which the forum is not compatible. IT rescued it, but it will only save it till the 28 March.
Bottom line is that the forum build is a piece of shit, embugged and out of date. I am meeting with IT next week for a modernization plan. That is going to involve an initial theme change prior to the 28 March in order to keep it online, followed by a custom rebuild.
So there may be changes to to way the forum looks as we move forward, initially and long term. I think it is worth my spending the money to do a customer rebuild, make the forum more user friendly, make it properly part of the website, and enhance the ability to follow the news aggregation plan that we are just starting. It’s going to cost money / investment but it should have benefits in terms of marketing and usability.
I wondered what was going on. Good idea!

You will have noticed that the forum looks a little different right now. This is a new template that has been created by IT to make the forum compatible with WordPress past the March 28 date. If we had not done this, the forum would have disappeared.
This is NOT the new forum format. That is being built as part of the full website rebuild, and will be along in due course.
If you don;t like the color change, please bear with it and all will come right in the end.
Noticed the change and I like it!
