I reckon Max will probably up charge me for my next class if I don’t start out by saying other than the obvious; Patriot Dawn, Patriot Rising and Contact what are some other good reads out there?
Some of what I’ve read and/or reading is below.
Bible-Plenty of warriors in that book
The Book of Five Rings- Miyamoto Musashi -William Scott Wilson
The Gift Of Fear- Gavin De Becker- Started, haven’t finished
The Art of War- Sun Tzu
The Odyssey- Homer
Killing England- Bill O’Reilly
Gates of Fire-Steven Pressfield
What is fascinating about these reads are the men/warriors throughout history when their backs are against the wall, their psychological warfare with their enemies, their raw determination, their courage, the victories and defeats-some gave their lives but their legacies/stories live on. The victors prevailed.
What are some other good reads out there?
RS+CTT, HEAT 2
There was a study of insurgent warfare in Afghanistan that @joe(g.w.n.s) posted. It is very interesting reading.
If you're gonna fight, fight like you're the 3rd monkey on the ramp to Noah's Ark... And Brother, it's starting to rain! James from Texas
Thanks Joe. I saw that as soon as it was posted.
RS+CTT, HEAT 2
Colonel Grossmans “On killing” and “On Combat” should be required reading in school!
I just started “Sheep no More” by Jonathan T Gilliam. Excellent so far.
