I recently switched to a Loopy VX R 1 x 4 power scope. I was switching out the 2032 batt when I got it in there wrong a broke off one of the spring copper contact fingers. Loopy replaced the whole battery housing assembly, did a complete diagnostic on my scope and sent in back in about 3 weeks. You just can’t beat these guys. Just something to keep in mind when you are looking at scopes. Leupold rocks.

I have their scopes on both my hunting rifles. My Dad had one of their scopes that he got as a gift. Thirty years later he dropped his rifle and jacked the scope up. Totally his fault. He sent it back to Leupold to see if they could fix it. Three weeks later a brand new scope arrived free of charge. You cannot beat that kind of customer service. So yeah Leupold rocks.

Good to know. I used their repair a long while back and it was about the same, 3-4 weeks.
Their illumination needs help, both brightness and function. The push button sucks. I have various issues with 2 scopes, just haven’t sent them in because its a pia. Going to though. Know others with similar problems.
They can also use help with their reticles.
Have 2-12 that could be great. All it needs is an aim point with a 2 moa dot inside of it and a reticle to get out to 600-800 yards with 5 and 10 mph wind hold points. Probably going to try and do a custom reticle.
Their 1-6 scopes are good and lightweight to. Figure they’ll have the perfect scope in about 10 years, although they could be pretty close now if they were on top of their game. May try to mention something to them.
Waiting for a dual focal plane scope to come out, if an upgrade is worth it. Anymore, run the piss out it til it breaks.November 15, 2016 at 10:43 pm #36744RoadkillParticipant
Anyone running a Trijicon vcog. I’m an ffl so I put one on my rifle as a demo. It has very clear optics and the 1 to 6 works well for me. I’m not using buis sights with it. Kind of all my eggs in one basket. It’s built like a tank, and for my old eyes works well.

Well I managed to break the push button illum but that was my fault. I think it looks good in bright sunlight to low/no light. So no problems there.
The VX R Patrol is very light weight and gives me a 1 to 4 power with a mil dot reticle and a red dot. I mean that’s everything I’m looking for in a DR role. With good 77gr OTM I’m confident it will shoot out to 500m.
That’s a lot of scope for the price, and, you can’t beat their warranty service.
