Does anyone use a safariland holster on a molle type belt? If so what did you mount it on the belt with and do you like it?
I currently use a safariland hoslster on a riggers belt with 1 pistol, 1 rifle and a dump pouch on it. I don’t like that the pouches don’t stay where I want them unless the belt is on. I have a belt section from a G.I. FLC laying around and was thinking that might solve my problem. Don’t want to spend alot to test this or if you have a better suggestion?July 5, 2015 at 11:21 pm #18952busyguyintvilleParticipant
I run a Safariland holster on either my chest rig or belt paddle using the QLS quick release system. The QLS is attached to my chest rig molle using the Safarialnd MLS16 MOLLE Accessory Locking Fork System. As I recall it was actually a little tricky getting the right pieces and configuration ordered, but it works great. Let me know and I can help with pics.

I use the QLS with the molle attachment on my battle belt. It works great. Let me know if you want pics.

So I will be the guy who disagrees. I think the stock Safariland mounting options work just fine if you want to mount on a vest, but they are crap for a belt. You either end up with the gun too high or with it not secure enough. Max has some kind of MOLLE panel on his belt that contains a sheet of HPDE inside of it that you drill through to use to mount whatever holster you want, but I can’t locate that piece of gear online. That would be what I would use if I could find it.July 7, 2015 at 6:46 am #18991ffhounddogParticipant
I run a 6004. I actually put the thigh rig where its suppose to go.
I have been running armor for so long I forget how it is to go slick.
The teams I have been on we started the deployment with molle attachment but then went back to the cut 6004 due to clearence issues in our IOTV and plate carrier

I also just go straight to a high-ride thigh rig. I would give the BB mount a shot if there was a good mounting solution, but wearing a thight rig as high as it will go is pretty good. It still clears armor and doesn’t bang around as bad as if you leave it at the normal spot. It also has the added advantage of still being on you if you drop the rest of your kit.July 8, 2015 at 8:08 am #19017MaxKeymaster

I have the adapter thingy and use it with my Viking Tactics Brokos belt thru the belt portion, happy so far. Really happy with the Brokos light belt set up, great customer service as well, even sent me an extra pouch.
I personally cannot see how a person could walk with the normal thigh rig, so I am glad that Safariland had the belt adapter.
