“The U.S. Missile Defense Agency on Monday successfully shot down a dummy Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) in space during a highly complex test of the U.S. military’s capabilities to counter incoming missiles from foreign adversaries.”
Missile defense is not new, but it appears to have come a long way in the last 10 years.
This is good news for us both militarily and politically.
As a USCG help pilot in Alaska, I used to clear the down range ocean for the “target” missle launch facility on Kodiak.
Every damn time there was some idiot fisherman that refused to leave. Oh well, can’t fix stupid.
Even back then, 04-06, they had a pretty good shoot down rate. Sure it much better tech mow.
