I’m not sure this is the right place to post this question.
We’re having the worst winter on record up here in northern Minnesota and range time is limited. I’m looking for recommendations for some training videos to watch while I do my PT in the basement.
Any thing from basic weapon handling skills to field tactics would be appreciated. I’d also like recommendations on “dry handling” drills I can do indoors.
What are your favorites? Thanks in advance!
How about those old Thigh-Master vids with Suzanne Sommers? No?, OK, here’s a few:
The Edged Weapon, vol 1 & 2
Advanced Pistol/Rifle Operator
NVG/IR Skill builder
Max Velocity Tactical:
Individual Movement Technique
Small Unit Tactics
Patrolling, vol 1 & 2
CTT 1505, NODF 1505, CP 1503, LN 1, RC II, Rifleman
On the whole I don’t recommend the Magpul type videos for reasons I have discussed at length inn other threads, but the Magpul art of the precision rifle set is actually very very good. And very long. If you are at all interested in precision shooting, even in just a DMR type function for SUT, it has some great info, and with match ammo often running 2-3 dollars a shot, for 50 bucks it saved me way more on ammo.
I like the vidoes this guy did..
Nothing fnacy.. no tactcool or “produced” stuff.. Just the basics again and again:
Here is one:
Check out the others in that you tube series too
I will second the recommendation of Paul Howe’s training videos. He also has Long Range Hunter, Civilian Response to an Active Shooter, and Home Defense which I will add to the list. His videos are well done and full of good info. The type of information is simple and effective drills that are transferable into areas across the tactical spectrum.
Thanks for all the great recommendations! I look forward to seeing the suggestions.
