Overall a fairly weak storm by my standards, picked up some loose items in the yard today.
Don’t need anything extra since always prepared for these little “events”.
Maybe a chance to help teach some new people.September 1, 2016 at 2:41 pm #31437HarrisParticipant
So far a good amount of rain and some minor flooding here in Tampa Bay.September 1, 2016 at 3:16 pm #31439
Nothing here yet and we can use the rain.September 1, 2016 at 4:11 pm #31453AnonymousInactive
When I was back east I didnt mind the storms or hurricanes. But then again I was always lucky and never got flooded out of lost my house. All in all it was always a great opportunity to put the home plans to work and I quite enjoy no power for a week or more..
Hope you two are and remain safe..

Just been working on the rain catchment system round the homestead, perfect timing. Shows like it’s going to be sitting right over us about noon Friday. Moved heavy equipment out of potential flood areas at the other property yesterday.

Finished my new roof last weekend. Now I just hope the Korn/Rob Zombie concert is not rained out. My wife bought Pit Tickets. Two 37 year olds, one a Police Officer (wife) and me a Ma(whore)jor, with all the kids. Another upper body day tomorrow.

Track map shows over our area right about now. Rain all through the night, pine trees ‘be swaying like a mutha…. Other than that, so far so good.

The storm passed pretty close to us but no real damage. Power is out and will be for awhile. Power lines and trees down all over the county.
It’s great to have a little solar power and a generator.

Yea, I lost power too. Since I consider this a short term issue I let the Generac take over. So no hardship other than burning some LP gas.September 2, 2016 at 2:08 pm #31536HarrisParticipant
Storm passed through Tampa giving us a good amount of rain, some downed trees and a little flooding. You guys north of here got it much worse. lucky that you had the backup generators! Be safe!September 2, 2016 at 6:30 pm #31561AnonymousInactive
Lots of rain here in SE NC. The usual spots flooding, so far no real winds. Big winds after too much rain makes trees fall over and take out the power lines.September 2, 2016 at 9:14 pm #31571
Well I got my power back, hope everyone is doing well in the effected areas.September 6, 2016 at 6:53 pm #31983grammaParticipant
So the wind was a little more than I expected here. Dropped the shutters Just Because I have them… and woke up at 4:30 am with stuff being pelted at them. But it was a little storm… nothing major down at home – neighborhood had some trees down.
Saturday the generator kicked on & off several times as we messed with a motorcycle and the ’78 CJ Beast to get them running. Tried to go out to eat – and had to drive a little further down the beach because stuff close by were out of power.
Sunday started clean up. No big deal here.
