Ok, so this muppet obviously doesn’t like being called an ass, but he’s still reading the blog. He is the one referenced in my post from yesterday about the MVT SHIELD. This guy is totally unreasonable, sitting at his computer brushing cheetos off his fat gut. I get an email this morning telling me that someone has posted a ‘Ripoff Report’ yesterday on the web, after my post.
He has taken to saying I am not a Patriot. He tried a similar insulting post the other day, but on the old blog, which he hasn’t got the intelligence to know is no longer in operation.
I can’t tell you how much I despise the type of weak little internet sniper, with the entitlement mindset that thinks that ordering the MVT SHIELD is like an amazon.come order. He paid no attention to the obviously posted delay on production, he almost received his order, but emailed to complain, then took forever to respond about a refund.
Does he have any idea how hard Cat and Andy worked to get through the order backlog? I’m glad to say he will never get hold of an MVT SHIELD.
There was a little delay getting him his refund in the end, but he got it, despite me not actually having a refund policy. But fuck him.
I’d like to get a photo of this guy. He has to be a classic retreat sniper type. Little entitled nut job sitting out in his cabin.
The most confusing thing was that when trying to track down his order, he hadn’t actually ordered it in his name, the order was under:
Jo Brissenden, email: firstname.lastname@example.org – so it was hard to initially even figure out which order we were talking about.

Have you been reading the blog for updates? I’m away from my computer right now, headed up to a class. When I get a moment I’ll check where your order is on the list.
As stated, we are working through a huge rush of orders made at or around the time you made yours.
If you don’t want to wait, I’ll just refund you the money.

It’s been 3 months since you paid for it? Don’t you think you should cancel? They shouldn’t charge you until the item ships.

Yes, let’s cancel it.
I still have never received this item. You should not charge for an item until you ship it. It has been over three months. Please cancel this order and refund the amount I paid you. $197.50 Aug 10, 2014
Max wrote: I put your order on hold pending your response to my previous email, which is in the email chain below. We already passed your place in the wait list.
Max wrote : P.s. I asked you before in the email chain if you wanted a refund and I was awaiting your response. Why the delay? I will happily refund you as your order was already on hold pending your response.
BTW: we are not Amazon and we charge because we have to buy material to make this specialty custom product.
Chuck (As ‘Jo Ann) wrote: MAX SAID “Have you been reading the blog for updates? I’m away from my computer right now, headed up to a class. When I get a moment I’ll check where your order is on the list.” We were waiting for a response from you, which we never received. APPRECIATE A REFUND.
Max said: I’ll refund you as soon as a I get back to my office. I would have done so already if you had asked.
I don’t provide the MVT Shield so I can argue with people via email. It’s a product I designed that is custom hand made. A wait list was described and anticipated. Again, I’m not Amazon.com. Everyone else has waited patiently and received the product. Why you think I should only take payment when I ship, when I have to buy material to make it, is beyond me.
Again, you would already have received the product if you had responded that you still wanted it.
There is nothing more to be said. Please don’t respond. I will refund you.
Max said: Send name and address for refund check. As per the blog, I don’t use PayPal anymore.

Chuck said: It has almost been a month and we still have not received our refund of $197.50. Have you mailed it?
Max said: No. Been busy. Best thing: you would have had the MVT Shield already.
Refund will go out when I have time.
Next thing I get, is a complaint letter via the better business bureau, following his attempt to smear me on the old blog. Of course, I’m busy as hell, moving house over new year’s and haven’t checked the mailbox. I then get another letter from the better business bureau, but I had already mailed him the refund check. He’s still reading the blog,. and will read this. The muppet is sitting at home with the refund check, which is dated 14 January, and he’s reading the blog where I talk about unreasonable ass’s, and the little cowardly internet sniper then goes and files a ripoff report online.
If I ever shut down production of the MVT SHIELD, which doesn’t actually make me or Andy/Cat any significant amount of profit, it will because of idiots like this. It’s a balance between wanting real patriots to be able to get hold of the product, and dealing with entitlement types like this who want the amazon.com truck to pull up with delivery within 48 hours of their order.
No wait, I;’ll click and pay $3.99 for 1 day delivery!
Yes Chuck, numb nuts, I am busy. This is a one man show.

You were up front about the backorders and delays. I contacted another member when he received his and he pretty much in our back and forth was spot on with delivery date. I was concerned more about my mail person’s laziness of leaving packages out on the road next to the mailbox than a backorder delay. I survived…I wasn’t “droned” during the wait. Keep up the good work Max.

I have a post office that doesn’t always put slips in the box so when I ordered not 1 but 2 shields I knew I was in for a wait. I read about all the delays (due to volume/holidays) and figured if they did not arrive this month I was going to contact you Max and see if the shields had been shipped or not. Funny, my 2 shields arrived last week.
It’s a great product and being a “cottage” industry (Mom and Pop thing) I had already figured about 3 or 4 months before delivery. Like you said you’re not Amazon.
My thanks to you (Max), Cat and Andy for providing us a wonderful product. fuck chuck!
