My thoughts exactly

Yeah, I think this adds a lot from a social media perspective. Most people aren’t used to actual professional discussion, so the light humor makes it more approachable.
I wouldn’t be surprised if, even though it was reversed, you now have some “heat” with a higher level of surveillance
Thanks for sharing. It’s a good topic of discussion. I appreciate the effort this guy might have put into his video, but it all comes across as bullshit:
1) Left = establishment? there are plenty of people who would gladly support the right side of the establishment
2) Power grid destruction is good for “the right”? How does no power really help…[Read more]
Lol, talk about troll bait!
Shot timers are waaaay over used. I’ll caveat that with, it’s a useful tool for checking your performance from session to session with time to first shot when drawing from concealment with a pistol- which is obviously very limited in scope! I have one. It gets used occasionally.
Max’s real point (I think) is this: How…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s a bit hard to tell what’s going on, but the sound of incoming is good.
They were calling incoming RPG but they sounded far away, no?
Experts are not politicians or decision makers. The only thing politicians are experts in is wiggling their way into power.
Why do we go to the doctor? Or why would you go to a cardiologist, when there are other doctors out there. It’s because they are subject matter experts and you have faith that their specific knowledge and experience will…[Read more]
I think it’s a super complicated subject, so much so that I don’t really feel qualified enough to provide anything more than some of my opinions. Where possible, I try to avoid suggesting solutions, as I’m sure subject matter experts could provide better solutions.

Bumping this, because it’s such a damn good book!
Page 170, the author is in the process of training up 10 Montagnard for his recon team. He initially was experiencing some trouble instructing them in tactics, then:
“I acquired some toy soldiers, twelve of which I named, so each Yard and American could see his miniature counterpart. The I…[Read more]
Fast forward to 1998 or 1999, and middle school aged JohnnyMac and comrades being threatened with police charges for shooting each other with pea shooters.
Then fast forward to recent years, with grade schoolers being suspended for bringing in a GI Joe with a miniscule gun, or making a gun shape with their hand.
The image above really puts…[Read more]
After consideration, I thought I would post something up about land nav, as it’s been quite a while since it’s been a topic of conversation yet a critical warrior skill.
I’m not going to add anything from a TTP perspective, here’s a round up:
1. Max’s blog post
2. D-close’s…[Read more]
Maybe I’m not used to the “format” but it seems like they don’t make it easy for networks to develop, other than doing searches (and even that didn’t work 100% for me).
I confirmed even in ideal settings here at the house. Too faint to make anything out. I also tried adjusting the display contrast, but it didn’t make a difference.
Maybe they’re making them differently now?
That’s cool! Thanks man
I’m holding out hope that it’s all that’s required.
Given how much light is used in suburban/urban areas (where I live) it’s actually hard to get to a public place WITHOUT significant light pollution and isn’t “closed” at night.

I would even go so far as to say “stuff happening” makes for a better learning experience (as long as you aren’t developing training scars).
I’ve heard this before, is it common? As a kid we would frequently play outside in the dark, so I might be biased.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a short night hike with a fellow alumni. The purpose of the outing was to get some practice moving around with our PVS14 setups.
Conditions: 75-80F, dropping to 62F with strong rain and intense lightning. 0% lume. Trail was a wide section of access road.
Both of us were running PVS14’s from Robert.…[Read more]
80’s action movies, for some reason, have way more replayability than modern action movies. I think it’s because modern action movies can use special effects/CGI as a crutch.
The original Predator is on my re-watch list for the summer.

I read this book, by John Plaster, a number of years ago but recently picked it up again for a second reading. It’s a great book, giving insight not only to a little spoken about Army Special Forces program, but also some of the small unit tactics they used. I would highly suggest getting this book, there’s a lot to be learned (both good and bad)…[Read more]
