I never watch that kind of crap but when I’ve stumbled on some clips of it, they are ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS clicking the safety on a millisecond after firing the last round and immediately dipping the muzzle. No frickin scan, no movement, etc.
Maybe these guys all shot magic Kennedy Killer bullets that always put a man down???
Pretty stupid…[Read more]
The unfortunate reality is not Amerika returning to a Constitutional Republic but Amerika breaking up into multiple different nations like Yugoslavia or USSR.
My son and I were just talking about this the other day.
To include an NDA or similar agreement that the senator/rep could not work for, consult for, etc. any organization for a minimum period of X years after they are done. To avoid being a lobbyist for greenpeace, bayer/monsanto or whoever.
Having a “backstop” or two for practice is nice.
I.e, “If I continue going south I will hit the hard road” and “If I go due east Farmer’s Gully Rd. will be right in front of me.”
Kind of like having the guards up when you go bowling- you may not hit a strike but you won’t end up in the gutter either :)

I will likely be available for OPFOR if you need it again the last part of the week. Got something I can’t get out of that weekend.

When that happened I remember a flurry of “training” and PR actions by a lot of the local LE agencies in relation to this sort of thing. Quite a few of our combatives guys work in many of the skewl systems around these parts. Lots of talk of teachers/admins coming in for work on disarms and related “active shooter” (or “Actor Shooter” as one…[Read more]
Every people group has been oppressed, enslaved, etc. throughout history. I’m sure they used Irish speaking/looking people to press gang new immigrants into the Union army in the same manner that black tribal leaders brought blacks to the African coast to sell to Jewish slave merchants.
Some would rather learn the CNN view or the…[Read more]
Max- a lot of the newer ACOGs have the mounting setup on the top for RMR’s as well.
Have had two FALs over the years, neither true FNs so that might be the problem. First one was total FUBAR. 2nd one seemed to work alright IIRC.
You know me, I expect AK reliability out of everything and it would seem that’s not very realistic with most firearms.
1974 original HK91 paid $1700 for it in 1996
Jammed like a f#$cker, multiple ammo types and as you know, cheap Russian ammo wasn’t even available then.
Bad part is I sold it for $1500. in 2001 when I needed cash. Don’t regret that as much as selling a pristine IMI model B I had though- although that was a lot less useful in a SHTF situation.
@Shooter– what is the optic and mount you are using on the rifle in the pic?
On the SCAR- what type of magazines do they take?
You mentioned the charging handle- is it an AK type setup?
You mentioned about 5K through it- all match or some other grades of ammo also?
My first M1A was like that, very finicky about ammo. Came with a “don’t shoot match ammo” warning with it (WTF did I buy it then??) about “soft primers” and…[Read more]
I’ve owned and still owned a lot of the more common .308 semi autos over the last couple decades- HK91, FN FAL, M1A, AR10 variant.
I have not found one that is remotely reliable enough to be considered for the field. It’s disappointing as hell!

Pro tip: If you plan to spend spare time doing things to make
MS-13ANYONE cry, avoid giving interviews or personal info to the media.
Fixed it for you :)
Really personal preference more than anything else IMO. Keep in mind white phosphor tubes from ITT/Harris and L3 are both substantially more than green, hence why you see all the marketing that white is so much better, etc. from some companies.
I run green HP+ tube duals and I don’t feel under gunned at all. Only WP we have currently in our…[Read more]
Time under NODS is important. Just as no one in their right mind would spend 2 hours at the range once a year and think “I got this”- same goes with NODS.
The brain fog gets better over time. Early on, just flip the 14 up, take a break for a few minutes. If your running a mono like most of us are, it’s probably over your left eye and you’ll…[Read more]
Look around your area at night. People have lights everywhere, many can’t walk around their lawn without a flashlight. While most are not pathological about it they are at least uncomfortable at night.
Beat me to it!!

I’ve heard this before, is it common to not be comfortable? As a kid we would frequently play outside in the dark, so I might be biased.
I think it’s a psychological thing for most people. Most of the population lives in suburban or urban areas. We walk out of well lit houses into well lit garages, turn on super retina burner 4000 high beam h…[Read more]
